On November 6th, a full-day intercultural training session was held for students in the English-language Master’s program "International Marketing and Sales." This workshop provided participants with valuable insights into the successful collaboration and organization of intercultural teams. Organized in cooperation with the International Center and Karrierecoach München, the on-site workshop was led by experienced trainer and coach Eric Fritzsche.

The Master’s program in "International Marketing and Sales," which has been offered entirely in English since this winter semester, has attracted interest from numerous international applicants. The program includes students from various countries who share a passion for marketing and sales. The workshop aimed to equip students with essential intercultural competencies that will not only assist them in working within multicultural teams during their studies but also prove invaluable in their future international careers.

Professor Christina Ravens, the program coordinator, emphasized the importance of this intercultural training: "Our goal is not only to impart theoretical knowledge to students but also to foster practical skills that they can apply in a global work environment."

The workshop covered a broad range of topics to promote intercultural competencies. Participants engaged deeply with cultural differences, focusing on values such as respect and communication. Through interactive exercises, including team-building challenges, students reflected on their own cultural backgrounds and gained a deeper understanding of the dynamics within multicultural teams. They also explored intercultural theories and learned how differences in hierarchy and communication styles can impact teamwork.

This workshop offered all participants intensive preparation for the demands of the international professional world and strengthened their intercultural competencies – a significant advantage for their future careers.
