The Buddy Program helps international students to adapt to campus life and German culture by pairing them with a local buddy for support with studies, daily life and social integration.

Various sports, including yoga courses, basketball, salsa courses as well as tennis or volleyball, are organized by student clubs and organizations.

On-Campus Accommodation

The external provider "Jugendwerk" rents several rooms in student residence halls to students. Contracs for accommodation in residence halls always last for at least 6 months.


* Winter semester: Sep. 1st - Feb. 28th


* Summer semester : Mar. 1st. - August. 31st

  • Single rooms in a flat unit with shared kitchen, bathroom and shower
  • Unit shared with 12 students around 285 €
  • No private apartments


Dormitory Steinertgasse

  • Apartment for around 385 € with own kitchen and bathroom
  • Rooms for around 310 € with shared kitchen and bathroom 

Dormitory Wellandstraße Studentendorf

  • Unit shared with 4 students for around 410 €
  • Apartments for around 450 € with own kitchen and bathroom

Dormitory Anton-Huber

  • Single rooms in a flat unit with shared kitchen, bathroom and shower
  • Unit shared with 2, 4 or 6 students around 300 - 345 €
  • Apartments for around 400 €

Dormitory Waldcampus

  • 1 room apartment with shared unit for 4 people 520 €
  • 1 room apartment for 550 € with own kitchen and bathroom 
  • 2 room apartment for 810 € 

Off-Campus Housing - Private Accommodation
There are also private student residences available in Aalen.

The monthly rent ranges from € 350,- for a room without a shower up to € 850,- for high standard rooms. Find links to all student residences in Aalen here. You can browse through private offers on external websites. Here you can see private rooms in Aalen, but note that they are often not furnished.

Living in Aalen is more affordable than living in bigger cities in Germany - and still you are very well connected with public transport.
